DaViD is an equal parts goofy and dark musical about a man’s journey through different genres of traditionally masculine Old-Hollywood, as subverted by his friend DaViD, a sentient DVD player. Cass is going through a rough time, between his fiancee leaving him and trouble at work. But after a birthday wish gone wrong, his DVD player DaViD comes life to cheer him up through his favorite film genres. Will Cass learn to accept his feelings?

This film is an original musical. Beyond being fun and whimsical, it tackles themes of toxic masculinity and the fear of being replaced. Through witty banter, whimsical song and heartfelt dialogue, this project embodies what it means to grow in a society that puts unnecessary pressure on its young men.
